Minimalist Scandinavian Living Room, Berlin Apartment, Ranunculus Bouquet - RG Daily Blog
After over six months of living in our Berlin flat, Sven and I finally have a sofa! Consequently, we now also have a functioning living room. It feels so good to be settling into life in this funny little apartment.

Post Update: Now that our secret is out, (click here) the flowers featured in this post are from my wedding bouquet! If you haven’t got the news yet, Sven and I eloped last weekend, saying “I-Do” in Denmark. I was able to bring the bouquet back with me to Berlin on the airplane. Sven did such a wonderful job picking flowers for me – I wish I could keep them forever. I’ll tell you guys all about our Copenhagen elopement in a later post. <3

These are just a few photos I snapped today while making a little pause from work at lunchtime. Sorry for the grainy photo quality – the light wasn’t very good when I shot.
Sven bought me this beautiful bouquet last weekend, and I’m happy that a few of the flowers are still holding strong. He was sweet enough to find my favorite – ranunculus and eucalyptus. I think they look beautiful with the natural tones of our floor and neutral colors.
The candle is one that I actually made myself during a recent visit home to the US! My sweet sister-in-law took my mom and I to a wonderful candle making workshop! It was such an amazing way to spend the afternoon together. We got to select our own vessels, chose a scent, and mix and pour the candle entirely on our own!
As it turns out, we won’t be keeping the sofa however. There was a bit of a mix up when we ordered it and we ended up with an entirely different sofa than we expected (don’t ask). Thankfully, the team at Otto was kind enough to work with us to fix the issue. Our new sofa will be ready in a few weeks, so until then we can keep this one. I actually find it to be a quite attractive piece! I love the mid-grey color and spacious length. But our new sofa will be a bit less feminin in form. I’m sure I’ll share plenty of photos when it arrives. Link to sofa below!

PS – Sorry for the pause in posts lately. I’ve been very busy in recent time with travel. I was lucky enough to take three weeks off this winter and headed back to the US to see my family and friends. During that time, I was happy to be purely focused on the people around me. It was such a joy to spend time with my wonderful family that I’ve been missing dearly. In the coming weeks however, I’ll have a lot of news to share about projects and other exciting things on the horizon!
